FuneralNet
FuneralSoft is currently under development and yet to be releasedFuneralNet Features
FuneralNet is the next generation web-based platform for Funeral Arrangements. FuneralNet will extend FuneralSoft over the internet by offering a portal for arrangers to capture arrangement information through a simplified interface.
Simplified Interface
Designed specifically with the arrangement process in mind to flow
easily and logically through the steps of arranging. With the assistance
of a progress bar and back/next buttons, it is easy to monitor
progress and navigate the arrangement process.
Platform independent
Being a web-based platform enables FuneralNet to be accessed and operated
on a wide variety of devices thus removing many limitations of operating
system pre-requisites. Any platform that runs a Silverlight application
in the browser will likely be able to fun FuneralNet (subject to
testing).
Portal for Client Families
At a later stage, client families may be able to contribute arrangement
information directly, often before arrangement appointment has even
taken place. This feature will allow client families to gather information
at their own pace and gives them control of the process. It also provides
the benefit of saving arrangement time, thus saving staff time, thus
saving money. By having some information about the deceased before even
meeting the family, it presents a more professional and caring image.
Public Information
Some information captured into FuneralSoft/FuneralNet is appropriate
for publishing and public viewing. Information such as published
Funeral Notices and public Service times will be automatically viewable.
Online Memorials
It may be possible to integrate with service providers that publish Online
Memorials and integrate these into FuneralNet.
Cloud-based
Computing
Whilst FuneralNet will initially be hosted on the company server,
there is the eventual possibility of offering funeral homes to option
to host and operate FuneralNet entirely in the cloud thereby negating
the need for any server hardware or desktop software requirements.
This option may provide considerable cost-savings and reduced maintenance.
